Judith Csiky is a Georgia State University graduate, with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, specializing in drawing and painting.
Judith Csiky was born in Budapest, Hungary in 1942. Judith, her parents and two brothers immigrated to São Paulo, Brazil in 1945, barely escaping the Russian invasion of Eastern Europe.
In 1958 the family moved to Atlanta, Ga. After finishing North Fulton High School, she attended Georgia State University, graduating with a BFA in drawing and painting in 1968.
Judith has been active in the Atlanta arts scene and points beyond ever since. She was a regular artist at the Atlanta Arts Festival for 20 years and has had numerous exhibits across the Southeast. Her works are currently in numerous private collections in the United States, Europe and Brazil.
She counts among her influences many teachers and colleagues including Joseph Perrin, Joe Almyda, Jim Sitton and Ben Shute, all artists who started in Atlanta but had a huge impact on the art world at large.
Married to goldsmith and sculptor William Lamm, the two worked and showed from their studio/home in Atlanta until William’s death in 2013. Judith continues to work every day in a variety of media, including fiber and collage, but the main body of her work consists of oil on canvas and pencil on paper.
